Noleidy Barreto, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Noleidy Barreto, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating patients of all ages. She is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations while following evidence-based guidelines. Noleidy brings a holistic care philosophy and values interdisciplinary collaboration. She is culturally sensitive, empathetic, and particular about involving her clients to improve their outcomes.
Noleidy Barreto is originally from Havana, Cuba. She began her psychiatric career in 2010 at the River Point Behavioral Health inpatient psychiatric hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Since 2011, Noleidy has worked with diverse populations in inpatient psychiatric settings, including emergency stabilization, dual diagnosis and addiction, geriatric, and child and adolescent psychiatric units. In addition, she offered psychiatric services to veterans through the PHP/IOP program, focusing on medication management, psychotherapy, and trauma intervention. Noleidy has two years of experience at Memorial Hospital as a psychiatric nurse practitioner on the medical floor. Noleidy’s areas of interest include mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and attention deficit disorder. Noleidy has a passion for mental health and strongly supports incorporating therapy to unlock unused or forgotten abilities to manage and control one’s feelings, reactions, emotions, and fears. Noleidy has experience in psychotherapy and uses support therapy, CBT and mindfulness, and other techniques to treat various mental health issues. Noleidy is completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at the University of South Alabama and working on her quality improvement project to improve depressive symptoms with mindfulness-related breathing techniques.
